Dolls Portray Amish Characters
Amish children dress just like their parents in the isolated Pennsylvania communities where the members of the sect live apart from the "Gay People" of the outside world. Their religion bans photographs, so these dolls tell the story of their queer costumes. The clothing is cut plainly, is always a dark color- either dark blue or grey. It is most frequently black, especially in the case of the men.
