Korbel, California... Closed since the prohibition law went into effect the Korbel wineries, largest in northern California, were opened the past "week" with thousands of bottles of the pre-war vintages ready for distribution. The winery located in the Russian river has been closed tight since prohibition with no withdrawals. Now with a great demand for vintage wine, its product winner of grand prizes for the best California champagne will again see the bright spots.
Miss Edna Ladolls and Persis Clark are shown at the turning racks where the wine is given a quarter turn daily for six months to draw the sediment to the neck of the bottle.
