Chicago Downtown Fire Keeps Workers From Jobs.
A fire, which broke out in the Geiser Furniture Co., plant in Chicago's downtown district, where elevated lines converge, stopped the quarter-million Chicago loop workers from getting to their jobs. In the above photo, firemen fight blaze which destroyed the furniture company plant, and partially damaged tow neighboring buildings.
