Cranberry Pickers Lakehurst N.J.
Fall 1930's
Chicago Daily News

verso:
More like a Millet painting is this photograph taken within our own land, showing a group of cranberry workers at work on the largest cranberry bogs in the world, located near Lakehurst N.J. which covers an area of over 700 acres. Italian laborers are brought from Philadelphia to pick the berries, and whole families work in the bogs durning the months of September and October, getting the crops ready for the Thanksgiving dinners.
