"Gas Rationed"
photo size: 7 3/8" x 11"

August 27, 1941- Erie, PA
He defies gas curfew. This sign is a response to the several near riots occurred earlier near filling station.
It reads " Do you want Gasoline Rationed? If no - demand a 2 cent per gallon defense tax be placed on gas. This increase in price should eliminate the desire for rationing. The revenue obtained by this tax from Erie would amount to over $200,000 per month. The defense bill has to be paid so lets kill two birds with one stone. There is no shortage of gasoline.
