"Look What Jail Did to Mona"
photo size: 8 1/4" x 10"
July 23, 1935
Fort Lee N.J.
Mona Lesllie, 19, who is a night club dancer when she isn't busy swimming, went to jail for 5 hours July 23 because of an abbreviated bathing suit she wore at Palisades Park. The suit was a bandana (red) and blue shorts. She returned in a gay nineties vintage bathing suit to the jeers of girl friends garbed in the modern manner. As a dancer, Miss Lesllie wears little more than a coat of silver paint.
